I like the colour scheme and i would consider using it in my own magazine. I think the the black and white images taking up most of the double page spread is a good idea as it grabs the readers attention and keeps the reader entertained. In the paragraphs they are laid out like a news paper in columns and the first word has the first letter in a different colour to the text and is noticeably bigger this is used to capture the readers attention I would consider using a technique like this in my magazine. The title in this double page spread is a quote but the important part has been put in a different colour so that the reader automatically goes to read that part then the rest of the quote later.
I like the layout of this and how the image fills up one whole page and that the title is kind of a words cut out of newspaper effect this captures the readers attention as each letter is a different size of font. the image in this article breaks the rules a bit as her face is positioned right at the top of the page and her body is in the middle of the page this is used to show the pose she's doing. The text in this is small and and is laid out in columns this is to make it easy to read.
I like the font used in the title in this and how it sets a grungy tone to the double page spread. the image in this double page spread fills up the whole of one page this is to show the teenagers actions to the guy in a rabbit costume. the text in this is laid out in paragraphs typically for a magazine article. positioned at the bottom the page are images related to the article this gives the reader more information about what there reading about.
I like the layout of this contents page and how everything seperate from each other and spaced apart this make it easy for the reader to take in and navigate the contents page. the title in this is in a banner along the top of the contents page with the logo and the date, issue number included in it as well. this contents page has an image to give the reader a preview of whats inside this magazine and in the images caption it has the page number of the article and who is its about. The contents page is split in to section which is separated by small thin lines.
I like the presentation in this contents page and how the layout is very basic they have split the text into categories so the reader can take it in easily, the images are of peoples upper bodies and they include the articles page number in the bottom corner of the images. I also like how there are images next to the articles page numbers to give the readers a preview as to what they're going to read. the title in this magazine is in a clear sans serif font highlighted in black this contrasts and makes the it easy for the reader to read.
I like the use of the images in this contents page but i think there are to many of them and that the contents page is a bit crammed and hard to consume the information. i like the title on this contents page and how it contrasts with the rest of the page. I also like the contents pages colour scheme of yellow black and white.
I like the title on this front cover and the font used. I think the layout in this magazine is to crammed and cluttered and theres a lot of information to take in. i like the colour scheme of yellow, red and white this adds a grungy tone to the magazines appearance and i think it represents its content swell as a teenage music magazine. this magazine uses the F layout to present its title and text. the image in this magazine is positioned so you can only see the persons face and the attention is focussed on his eyes.
I like the layout of this front cover although it may seem a little cluttered everything is reasonably spaced out and the information is easy to take in. The text in this magazine pretty much contrasts with the background image and the colour scheme for the page is red white and black. the images on this front cover are relatively small and all represent a magazine article or something inside the magazine. i like the way the text "30 seconds to mars" is presented it grabs the readers attention.
I like the way the image is placed over the title it shows that the image is more important than the name of the magazine and that the magazine is recognised without having to give away the full title. I also think the colour scheme of black, white and blue is good and represents the contents of the magazine as the text reads "the king blues" and its presented in blue i find it ironic. I like the way the images presented down the side give away some of the magazines contents.
A lot more analysis needed on each of these Josh; fonts/images/layout/colour schemes etc.
